Adventure Park Trail History - We Put The FREE In Freeride

Adventure Park History The Albemarle Tract (MTB Adventure Park) was the second Bruce County property developed with a mountain biking theme.  This 300-acre property has little to no elevation change, but contains numerous rock outcrops and rock gardens, which seemed to be a logical choice for a free-ride park.

Planning began in late 2003 and construction commenced in the spring of 2004.  The construction phase of the park took 12 months and we are still adding things here and there.  Summer of 2005 was our first year in operation and a successful one at that.  The park has seen more than 18,000 people visit it from 2005 to 2006.

This park was made possible with the support of County Council, staff, dedicated trail workers and volunteers and with the assistance of the Government of Canada, Ontario Power Generation and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.  We would also like to acknowledge IMBA for their hard work in July 2004 for putting on the IMBA Advanced Trail Building Workshop.
